Oatmeal Muffins

Muffins are so delicious, especially when they are made with simple ingredients and can be whipped together in under 30 minutes. This is one of my favourite muffin recipes for the fall and winter time because it has the fall spice flavour that tastes so delicious. I like to have these muffins as a snack throughout the day or even as a quick and easy breakfast on the go. Muffins can be a great thing to bring to holiday get-togethers or to gift to a friend or loved ones. This recipe has become a kitchen staple in my house, and I’m sure it will become one in your house too. This recipe is so quick to make and tastes delicious. I have even made it after dinner and had it for dessert when I wanted a delicious fall treat. They come together in about 30 minutes and could not taste any better.

These “six ingredients oatmeal muffins” are so easy to make and have lots of potassium from the banana to help your muscles! It also has oats which provide fibre and iron. You can also try adding blueberries to your muffins. Not only would they taste amazing but blueberries will also add fibre, vitamin C, vitamin K, and potassium. Yum! These muffins would also taste great with chocolate chips. My favourite is just the base recipe, but feel free to add whatever you like to make them your own.

Ingredients:

  • 2.5 bananas
  • 1 cup oats
  • ¼ cup maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • Chocolate chips or blueberries (optional)

Recipe:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners and set it aside.
  3. In a medium bowl mash bananas and add oats, maple syrup, baking powder, baking soda, and cinnamon. Mix until well combined.
  4. Scoop mixture into muffin tin and place in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until a toothpick poked into the muffin comes out clean and dry.
  5. Remove from oven, let cool, and enjoy!
