Mocha Scones

What’s better than a cup of hot coffee on a cold winter morning…? A cup of hot coffee with a mocha scone.

These scones are incredibly moist, not too sweet, and can be made in less than 30 minutes! No fancy techniques are needed, just mix everything together and you will have a DELICIOUS scone in no time!

Mocha Scones

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate
  • 1/3 cup greek yogurt
  • 1/8 cup almond milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tbsp instant coffee

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400F.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, salt and dark chocolate.
  3. In another bowl, mix together the Greek yogurt, almond milk, vanilla extract and instant coffee.
  4. Mix the wet ingredients into the dry.
  5. Form the dough into a 7×4 inch rectangle then cut it into 5 triangles.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes.
