Chocolate Peanut Butter Thickshake

This right here isn’t just your average smoothie… it’s a THICKSHAKE! Using a frozen banana is vital to making your smoothies nice and thick BUT the secret ingredient in this recipe is one of our favourite whole grains…OATS! That’s right, adding dried oats to your smoothie will not only thicken it up, but it also adds a great source of whole grains that will keep you feeling fuller for longer. If you find that smoothies just don’t fill you up and you are always left feeling hungry afterwards, then try adding some oats!! It’s an inexpensive and nutritious way to bulk up your smoothie and make the texture absolutely to die for.

Ingredients:

  • 1 frozen banana
  • ⅓ cup rolled oats
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 date
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter
  • 1 cup milk of choice
  • Handful of ice

Method:

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.
