Who doesn’t love tacos on a Tuesday?!

Tacos

Whether you like veggie tacos, fish tacos, pork or steak tacos, or all of the above, you have to try making your own tacos at home – it’s SO fun!

Using whole wheat or corn tortillas, sauté your choice of protein and top everything off with avocado, limes, avocado, salsa, guacamole, cilantro, and whatever else you love on your tacos!

Here is the full recipe + instructions on how to make your own taco Tuesday happen at home:

Tacos

Guacamole

2 avocados

1 diced tomato

Bunch of Cilantro, chopped

Fresh lime juice from 1 lime

Fresh jalapenos (depending on how hot you want it!)

1/2 chopped onion

Olive oil

Mash all ingredients together, and season with salt & pepper!

Tortilla chips

  1. Cut up corn tortillas into 6-8 triangles (depending on how big you want your chips)
  2. Spread them out in the air fryer (can also use an oven)
  3. Season lightly with avocado oil, salt & pepper, and garlic powder
  4. Let AirFry for about 20 min & flipped them half way through
  5. Temp for AirFryer / oven = 390˚
Homemade Tortilla Chips

Salsa

2-3 tomatoes

1 habanero pepper

Big bunch of cilantro

1/2 onion

2 cloves of garlic

½ juiced lemon

Add all ingredients into a food processor and combine until chunky (or you can dice everything yourself!)

Meats/Protein

Options of:

  • Ground beef (carne asada taco)
  • Shredded chicken (pollo taco)
  • Shrimp (camarón taco)
  • Fish
  • You can also use fried pinto beans & lots of veggies on the side for the option of veggie tacos!

For cooking the Carne Asada

(No Oil due to the lean % of the ground beef) Sautéed ground beef with onions & garlic, s&p, mushroom seasoning, paprika & cayenne in a pan on medium/high heat.

Pollo

Sautéed in avocado oil with onions & garlic, s&p, a little cayenne pepper, in a pan on medium/high heat.

Camarón or Fish

Sautéed in avocado oil, fresh lemon juice, s&p, minced garlic, in a pan on high heat. Got them nice and crispy.

Kept it simple, as we had lots of other flavorful items & toppings to complement the tacos.

TOPPINGS:

  • Veggie Options: mushrooms, lettuce, avocado, lemon/limes, onions, tomatoes, corn, black beans
  • Shredded Cheese
  • Sour Cream
  • Extra cilantro
  • Extra limes

Modify things as you please and enjoy these delicious homemade tacos!
